About Us
Mission Statement
At Bark Place, we provide a safe, healthy, and
comfortable environment for our pet guests and their
human parents.
All guests are treated as though they were our own pets
and the individuality of each guest is recognized and
respected. We strongly believe that all guests are
entitled to our complete professionalism, competency,
concern, and affection.
The Owner
Anthony Mesok founded Bark Place in April of 2007.
His life long love of animals and his own need to find a
boarding/care facility that met his standards are what
motivated him to establish this facility. Several local
overnight boarding facilities were satisfactory but he
could not find a daycare facility to satisfy his
requirements. He is the proud “parent” of Jackson (his
11 year old Flat Coated Retriever) and Sprinkle (his 8
year old cat) and is most particular about their well
being.
Anthony brings extensive experience from corporate
management to this venture. Additionally, he has studied
obedience training, is knowledgeable in nutrition,
supplements and aromatic herbs, and has recently been
certified in pet first aid by the American Red Cross.

Benefits of Pet Daycare
Daycare promotes healthy exercise for your pet
through interaction with other dogs and our staff.
Daycare curbs the boredom, separation anxiety and/or
destructive behaviors that may occur when a pet is left
alone. Daycare provides stimulation, exercise,
socialization, and confidence building. It can assist
many dogs who are fearful or socially inept. For humans,
daycare gives peace of mind in knowing that your dog is
being well cared for in a supervised environment.
Constructively occupied dogs can free you of furniture
repair, yard repair, issues with your neighbors, and the
guilt of leaving your pet isolated and alone all day.
Staff
Our staff is knowledgeable in many aspects of dog
behavior, especially in reading canine body language.
Dog play can sometimes appear extreme of even violent to
humans who are not familiar with normal dog behavior.
Our staff has received instruction on how to recognize
the difference between normal and inappropriate canine
behaviors. They are competent in all other areas of dog
care in terms of physical and emotional safety and
comfort.
